What is one of the biggest problems of a modern city? What is one of the problems of any city? I don’t think one can answer it with out thinking of all the cities you have lived or visited and slowly drifting away with your memories of that city (the run next to marina bay in Singapore / Sacre Coeur in Paris / Colosseum in Rome or “that” pizza place in Heidelberg). The answers are parking and energy.
When a car is parked it for sure puts weight at a particular point (pressure), why haven’t we harnessed this pressure to generate electricity (in one way or the other)? What is so difficult which stops us from doing it ? Is the mechanism behind it so hard to design / not worth it / or the thought itself is meaningless (may be a parked car does not exert any pressure).
Anyway, the point is where do we find answers / clarification etc to such questions? I agree we have enough platforms to explain what has been already setup or working but I get a feeling we don’t have enough avenues to evaluate ideas generated by common people. (Every idea, how stupid it may sound could get handy while solving major problems. I’m sure we have all read such statements put in different forms by a few million philosophers).
