Rope ways. Well, we see them taking us up and down a mountain, why these boxes hanging by a rope are not used to take us around a city ?
I haven’t been able to understand, the pillars of a rope way looks sleeker, easier to install, taller as compared to a pillar which holds the metro rail. You can design cabins and redesign them more frequently than a metro train, based on usage. Hang around smaller cabins if you see less number of people using them, bigger if you see more people (of course). They are quite robust I guess if they have been used to take people up and down a mountain where the weather conditions pose bigger challenges than slight gush of polluted breeze in the middle of a city. These hanging cabins do not go as fast as a metro rail, but for sure they can be made to cruise at a higher altitude and be breather to metro or road traffic (robin to batman, the American to James Bond, goose to maverick).
Do they cost a lot to run? High maintenance? Too slow for a city ride? Just adding an extra cabin to a metro train is good enough to handle the extra population? Combination of all (this would be the most irritating answer if given, even though it could be true)?
